Spring is in the air. And when spring is on the horizon, many of us are getting to get out and plant a garden. In the interim, there are a lot of garden shows and seeds that we can buy to plan our ultimate garden outside. Spring is such a hopeful time of year.

But did you know that gardening had a lot of health benefits too. When we are out in nature to garden, we get to commune with nature and we get to feel so much better about ourselves and about life in general. Many times, our problems just melt away, and we release a lot of feel good endorphins.

But there are more benefits than this even. In this article I will outline some of these benefits of gardening in more detail so that you can also get urge to start planning your garden earlier this year than ever.

So, without further ado, here are the known benefits of gardening.

• When you plant your seeds in the ground and watch them grow, you have a sense of achievement and accomplishment. This can help you to feel better and more motivated.

• You will weed out negative thoughts. As you are weaving your garden, you can think of your negative thoughts just like weeds that you can get rid of. And as you pull out your weeds, imagine weeding your negative thoughts one at a time. This will help you feel better overall and less depressed.

• You will be getting some much needed vitamin D from the sun. During the dark winter months, we lack a lot of vitamin D. During the summer, we get to replenish our supplies of this important vitamin for our overall health and well-being.

• Getting out in nature can also give you a healthy distraction. For instance, if you are nibble on food in the afternoon sometimes you should get out nature instead of grabbing that chocolate bar at 3 pm. Not only will you feel better because you controlled your appetites but you may even lose weight. You will also not feel as guilty about snacking all the time.

• You can grow fresh produce. This will help you to be healthier in that you will be eating foods that you should eat more often and eat food you should not eat less often.

• You will get some exercise. So, instead of being sedentary most of the day, even ten or fifteen minutes of exercise a day can really help you feel better.

By growing a garden, we can experience a lot of psychological and physical benefits. So, embrace spring, and take the time to grow a garden. You will be very glad that you did as spring turns into summer.

How Chemicals Abuse

In simple terms, addiction is the result of trying to move toward pleasure and away from pain. Other than that, there is nothing simple about addiction. Eight people with substance abuse problems ranging from alcoholism, opiate addiction and methamphetamine use were interviewed for this story. At their request, identities have been understood.

The Addicts' Theory
“Meth or speed-type drugs are for people with father issues,” one former user explained. “” The drugs make you perform better, feel stronger and create a false persona and possibly be the person your dad wanted you to be. ”

“Opiates or downers,” he continued, “are used when you have issues with your mother because those chemicals mimic the feelings you want from your mom, like warmth, comfort and peace.” Alcohol, one woman explained, “is when there is a spiritual disconnection from you and the rest of the world.” “You do not feel like you fit in, or belong, without drinking first,” she said.

A Psychiatric View
Alcoholism, according to Swiss Psychiatrist Carl Jung is' the equivalent, on a low level, of the spiritual thirst of our being for wholeness, expressed in medieval language: the union with God. “He noted that” alcohol in Latin is spiritus “and claimed the same word is used for “the highest religious experience as well as the most depraving poison.” The way out is also the way in: “Spiritus contra Spiritum” which can also be read as 'fight fire with fire.'

One Doctor's Opinion
In 1934, Dr. William Silkworth, who specialized in the treatment of alcoholics, attended to a patient who was an alcoholic of the type “I had come to regard as hopeless,” he said. “Without this person (the hopeless alcoholic) can experience an entire 'psychic change' there is very little hope of his recovery.”

“Once a psychic change has occurred, the very same person who appeared doomed,” he continued, “suddenly finds himself easily able to control his desire for alcohol.” The only effort necessary being that one is required to follow a few simple rules.

One Man's Solution
The patient that Dr. Silkworth regarded as hopeless turned out to be Bill W., one of the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous. During his final stay in the hospital, Bill W. had a religious conversion which abruptly and permanently relieved him of a chronic drinking problem which took him to the brink of despair. That experience was the genesis for the AA program which is a series of 12 steps that participants engage in to attempt to create this “total psychic change.”

On Usage
Drugs and alcohol may initially alter states state of consciousness but eventually change body chemistry. Occasionally, this creates a dependency where a person must use increasing amounts just to maintain balance. Some addictions develop so gradually as to be well established before becoming apparent.

“They sneak up on you,” one former Vicodin addict said. “It takes more pills to achieve the same feeling and each time they wear off, you drop lower and lower.” “At one point, I had to take 30 pills just to get out of bed each day,” she admitted. She was initially prescribed the pain killers after back surgery and later became dependent on them.

Anytime drug use is interfering with normal activities it has become abuse. This includes problems with family and friends. Psychological dependence has developed when your mind tells you that the drug or substance is needed. This is usually followed by physical dependence which has developed when continuing increases of chemicals are required to get the same feeling or “high.” This is known as addiction or chemical dependency. A person's risk is much higher if there is a history of chemical dependency in the family.

The process can begin with normal curiosity, following a surgery where pain medications are prescribed or a routine happy hour with friends. Certain substances will soon correct a feeling specific to the user that can surprise one with their efficiency. Pain subsides. Calmness replace anxiety or tension. Euphoria occurs. For some, those 'benefits' are too alluring to walk away from.

“Depression, shyness, hunger all disappeared after a few drinks,” one alcoholic explained. “Later, the vodka created problems was much bigger than what it was correcting.”

Chemicals do not erase negative emotions, they suppress them. To stop suddenly when use has been daily can be dangerous, even deadly. Once an addiction has developed, withdrawal from drugs / alcohol can cause uncomfortable physical symptoms ranging from mild to severe. Tremors in the hands, increases in heart rate, breathing and temperature are common in some cases. Normal sleep patterns are often interrupted with periods of insomnia.

In more severe cases, withdrawal can cause DTs, delirium tremens, which require hospitalization. “We meet every year to remember one guy who tried to detox himself and died from it,” one former drinker explained. Ceasing to use with advanced addiction can cause seizures, delusions and hallucinations. Vitamin deficiencies are almost always present with advanced drug and alcohol abuse.

Fear of withdrawal is what causes many addicts to continue using. Addiction can only be labeled by stopping the use of all chemicals unless they are for MAT-medically assisted treatment. New medications are being researched to release harder drugs and segue to health with the use of 'helper' meds. These form a bridge to absence.

In other countries, addiction is often considered a spiritual dilemma. A witch doctor in Kenya “prescribes” a healing ceremony for a tribe member who has traveled outside the confines of the village and developed an addiction. Toxic substances, or drugs, are usually only found in the larger cities such as Nairobi or Mombasa.

For the cemetery, mushrooms are used to create a “mystic” state where the user discovers the root of the problem and is also shown the solution. Once an addict goes through the ceremony, they are burned on the shoulder to create a scar. This mark indicates that the person has gone to the 'other side' and returned with the answer needed to go forward in life without the need for a “false god” which is how the medicine man describes an addictive substance.

Shamans in Peru use a plant that is illegal in the US called Ayahuasca. It translates to “the vine of the soul.” It apparently stimulates a spiritual catharsis by creating an out-of-body experience which results in an elimination of the need to self-medicate.

In China, a plant called Kudzu has been used for centuries to deal mainly with alcohol addiction. It does not address the spiritual aspect of the disease but instead is said to minimizeize cravings.

Addiction is not just physical but a spiritual malady as well. It can be overcome. Many have done just that. It often takes an addict to understand another addict. If you are the one in trouble, ask for help as if your life depends on it. It does.

Can Predictions In Dreams Come True?

A bad event predicted in a dream can happen at any time. If the dreamer will not change his or her attitude he will have a traumatic experience that will punish him for his negative attitude in a few days, or in a few months, or in a few years. Everything depends on numerous factors.

I did not consider the unconscious mind as if it was only a counselor. I realized that the unconscious mind was God's mind and I obeyed the guidance I had even against my will.

You have to follow my example. In the beginning this is hard and you will desire to complain like I did, but you must be better than me because now you know everything I could discover. I did not know what you know while I was facing everything for the first time.

God will make you abandon your comfort zone and work hard in order to become a brilliant human being.

You must do what He shows you in your dreams and in your religion in order to be cured and have the chance to become an admirable saint who will save humanity from terror and despair, instead of being a selfish, cruel, and violent monster who merely pretends to have human feelings.

Your ignorant conscience is one-sided and underdeveloped, and it is constantly invaded by your satanic anti-conscience.

You have to eliminate your satanic anti-consciousness through consciousness and become a saint in order to stop being exposed to this danger. This is why your obedience to God's guidance in your dreams is so important.

Your dreams save your conscience and help you become a sensitive genius, while your satanic anti-conscience tries to destroy your conscience through craziness and terror. You are obviously somewhere between the two extremes. The fact that you are in such position means that you must protect your conscience.

Your Health Is Your Business, Indeed

Do you agree with this statement, or do you believe that your health is your doctor's business?

You might say, “I'm not an MD-how can I be more knowledgeable about my health than my doctor, who has studied medicine for many years?”

Well, let me tell you something: When it comes to your own body and your own health, you're more knowledgeable and more powerful than you can imagine.

You even have the potential to make your own diagnosis because you, more than anyone else, know what's missing in your life. And you may be surprised to learn that whatever it is that's missing is your prescription for healing.

It's been well documented that our jobs, relationships, loneliness, stress and worry can be the cause of physical illnesses, including heart problems, back pain and diabetes. These individual health problems combine to adversely affect our overall quality of life and well-being.

But there's plenty you can do:

• Learn as much as you can about your health problem (s) and your options for dealing with them, and then make smart decisions about which steps to take in order to manage, or even reverse, the problems.

• Do your homework: Learn about the incredible power of the human mind. Take time to examine your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. • Be an active partner with your medical professionals in order to determine the best way to heal your illness. You need to understand your medical problem inside and out if you really want to help yourself.

• Try to stay positive, optimistic and open-minded during the process of healing. A negative attitude may have a negative impact on your recovery, especially if you do not pay enough intention to your “inner talk” and the message it's trying to get through to you.

• Learn to trust in yourself as a healer and in your practitioners, who are with you as you travel the path to full recovery.

• Do not ignore or overlook any potential benefit to your health or healing.

Your health is always your business, and it starts when you are healthy. Paying attention to your health only when you get sick reduces your options for healing and will likely affect your outcomes.

Are you paying enough attention to your diet, weight, exercise, relationships, and stress level?

Do you feel good about yourself? If you do not, think about what action you need to take in order to change that, and then do it.

Are the social and family aspects of your life enjoyable, or are they causing you stress?

If you want to take a holistic approach to your overall health issue, think about your personal life as a source of your strength; however, keep in mind that it can also be the cause of your health problems.

I'm surprised to see how many people go about living their lives without doing enough to protect their health. They know that they're hurting themselves, but they do not care!

I have no explanation as to why so many people are so negligent about their lives. Each of us has a responsibility to take care of ourselves. If we do not, who's going to do it for us?

Just to clarify something here: I'm not at all blaming sick people for their sickness. I'm just trying to remind everyone about how powerful they are and about all the many options they have for protecting themselves from illness.

Unfortunately, illness and tragedy do happen, but our duty is to do whatever we can to prevent them from happening.

Energy Healing And Body Talk

These days there are so many healing techniques available to us, like

the list goes on and on. It's exciting to know that more and more people around the world are accepting the healing value of alternative and complementary modalities.

When we take a class in any one of these invaluable techniques, the focus of course is on learning the technique …

–how to protect ourselves from picking up clients' “stuff”
–how to channel or run energy through our bodies out to our hands
–how to approach and treat certain kinds of issues
– the body mechanics we use, etc.

What I see missing from the classes is how to assess the body healing type of the individual we are working with. What do I mean by that?

Over the years, doing energy healing from the 1980s to the present time, I started to realize that with each person, I was addressing the energy flow to their bodies in a different way. Yes, there is the technique to follow, but after a while the practice becomes almost second nature. I found that as I was “listening” to the bodies, I was “talking” to them differently. And I have not found that kind of body talk mentioned anywhere in the energy healing field.

Of course, I think that each energy healing therapist has a particular way that their inner dialogue with the client feels most comfortable or most natural. But what I found was that when I shifted my own inner preference for how I channeled or ran energy to match my client's healing type, their recovery occurred in shorter lengths of treatment time.

So here's what was shown to me in the course of my years in energy healing: There are three basic types of healing preference that each body has: physical, mental, and spiritual. That seems to line up nicely with the complementary approach to body-mind-spirit healing, which is about the triune nature of being human. But what I'm referring to is the dominant energy healing preference each body is wired for. Each person's body responds most effectively to the type of energy transfer that matches his or her own energy healing type.

So sometimes I found I would be silently talking to the body and explaining what it was going through and encouraging it to heal itself. “Yes, you had a bad fall. You know your knee is injured, and you know how to fix it. You know how to do this.” This silent body talk flowed into their bodies along with the energy. This was obviously for a mental body healing type .

Other times I found myself praying. Sometimes it was a standard prayer, sometimes it was a free-flowing appeal to the person's guides or angels or Christ Spirit or Mary or an archangel or the Universal Healing Forces. Whatever came to mind to say, this prayer-type energy flowed into the spiritual body healing type .

And of course, there's the physical body type . This was a bit of a challenge for me, since most of the energy healing I do is in the bio-field around the body and there's little or no physical contact. But the physical body healing type needs to feel it for it to respond more readily with its own inner healing mechanisms.

So I'd touch the area in need, sometimes deeply, while my inner body spoke with that person was more along the lines of a cheerleader, “Here it is. Go. Or sometimes there was not that much dialog, just a lot of purposeful contact while I ran energy.

By the 1990s, I figured it would be easier for me to know ahead of time which client was which body healing type before the session started so that I could start the body talk right away. Since I've been learning how to do dowsing, I asked my pendulum what the type was. You can probably also use finger-muscle testing, if you're familiar with that. It's a simple yes-no process of elimination as you ask which treating type your client is.

There were some surprises that I learned along the way, too. People who I thought for sure would be one type turned out to be another, even though their personalities clearly indicated something else. Like my Dad. Here was a guy who was totally immersed in 3-D. If he could not see it, it did not exist. A very physical guy. When he got older and started having health problems (and let me work on them, which was not all the time), I dused and lo and behold – his body body type was a spiritual !!!

Then there's my Mom, who I thought for sure would be a spiritual type, but the dowsing told me she was a physical! She believed in the old-country ways of laying on hands, had a strong church connection, which Dad did not have, and was even known to have healing hands when she was younger (which was great for us as kids). But her body responded more effectively to the physical body touch-approach.

It reminded me of something I came across in the Edgar Cayce holistic health readings. He talked about the “body mind” as though it was something different or separate from the conscious mind. And now I understand that. The body does have a mind of its own. And when we address that clearly, it responds more urgently to whatever healing energy we deliver.

Another surprise was that some people turn out to have dual types. This is more rare, but when you find it, it gives you more variety in how you frame your inner dialog with the body.

Finally, one night in the late 1990s as I was meditating, it was revealed to me that what my guidance had shown me described the way Our Teacher Teacher, Jesus the Christ, healed people. For many of us, Christ's healings in the New Testament were our first exposure to energy healing, even though we probably thought of it as magical or superhuman, not something we could all do (even though He said we could). Perhaps even some of the victors and pastors of our formal churches did the “laying on of hands.” But think about this:

When Jesus healed the blind man, he put mud on the man's eyes and rubbed it in. Then the man could see. This was an example of the physical body healing type. The man needed to feel something happening to his eyes.

When He told the cripple that his sins were forgiven, or to rise up and walk, He was addressing a mental body healing type. The man simply got up and walked away. There was no contact at all with him.

Finally, when a woman touched the hem of His garment and asked her why she did that, she replied that that's what she knew she needed to do to be healed. Definitely spiritual or faith healing.

There also is one other example of a type of healing Jesus did and that was when the Roman soldier asked Him to heal his good servant who was not present at the time. This was a beautiful and dramatic example of both distance healing for the servant and faith healing on the part of the soldier.

During the course of working with many clients over the years, my own guidance has revealed techniques and understandings that were invaluable in helping my people regain function and health sooner and more easily. You can use this information for yourself as well during those times you need to amplify more healing resource into your own body. The digital world has a lot of benefits. However, it has also caused a lot of health problems for us in that we are not meant to be alone in front of machines not interacting with others or nature. Instead, we are meant to be outside without our digital gadgets.

One of the most gratifying benefits of nature is that it builds strong relationships both with nature and others. Therefore, by spending time in nature, we can be stronger and healthier.

Here are some benefits to communicating with nature.

1. You will be happier and feel more connected to nature. You will breathe the fresh air around you and experience the tranquility that is inherent in nature.

2. You will get some exercise and finally remove yourself from all the distractions that warp your attention and fragment your mind.

3. You will spend time with family and friends-something that the digital media can not give you. Face-to-face contact can not be replaced and is needed for us to feel happy and fulfilled.

When you walk in the woods or just in a park that is quiet, you can sense all of nature around you-the birds in the trees and above you, the water waves along the shore line, the sun on your face and body, and any other sounds in nature. By listening carefully to these sounds, you will feel one with nature. This feeling can help you feel healthy and not alone.

5. You will reduce social isolation. Digital media has reduced our time with other people and with nature. This form of isolation can be very detrimental to our health and overall well-being.

Thus, it is important to get out for a walk at least once a day. However, be sure to keep exercising and going for a walk in nature separate so that you can slow down and really listen to the sounds around you and feel the ground benefit your feet. This is the best form of walking.

If you are walking with your spouse and family, try to encourage silence for part of your walk so that you can feel more connected to nature. But then have times when you can talk to each other. There is something about talking to your spouse in the midst of a luscious green canopy around you with the water in the background.

So, get out for a walk and enjoy nature. The benefits are immune and you will be healthier as a result as well.

You have to protect your mental health in order to protect your life and purify your spirit. Otherwise, you will either acquire a certain mental illness, or you will waste your life having ephemeral material pleasures instead of transforming your personality and getting rid of your worst enemy.

Therefore, you will never stop suffering. You always will have absurd and evil thoughts.

Now you know that God created an infinite universe in order to create a planet that would work like an open hospital for your satanic anti-conscience. So, the process of transformation you must follow does not last only during your temporary life on earth.

While you ignored the existence of your satanic anti-conscience you could hope that your temporary life on earth was everything you had. Now you know that you have to eliminate the demon that lives in your brain, either while you are alive or after death. This obligation never stops being part of your destiny.

Therefore, you must assume your responsibility to eliminate your evil side during your life. You will not be able to avoid it forever.

On the other hand, why should you have a life without meaning and suffer because of the consequences of your mistakes?

You must care about having a meaningful life and become an admirable human being. You are not merely an animal. You have a spirit, and you have many extraordinary capacities that you are not using because your anti-conscience does not let you evolve.

What Seniors Regret Most in Life

What is your biggest regret in life?

One thousand two hundred old Americans were asked that question and their answer surprised everyone. Instead of expressing regret over a failed marriage, a business deal gone sour, substance abuse, or not doing good enough in one's career, they said,

“I wish I had not spent too much of my life worried.”

To emphasize the point, theyave this very simple advice:

Worry is an awful waste of your precious and limited lifetime … that worry is an unnecessary barrier to your joy and contentment.

One of the respondents of the survey, John Alonzo, 83 years old, a construction worker who battled a lifetime of financial insecurity said it bluntly:

“Do not believe that worrying solves or helps anything.

John is right. Not only does worry not solve anything, most of our worries are baseless.

According to studies, most of the things we worry about never happen. The rest can be easily easily.

It means that the things we worry about are caused by our own imagination of doom and gloom.

The irony is that “worry” is an intrinsic part of our being human. It is built into us as a means for survival. Without it, we could never evolve into what we are today.

But too much of it is wasteful and unhealthy. It can make you sick.

Nasty ways worry can affect your health:

o Increases your heartbeat;

o Induces rapid breathing;

o Makes you feel tired;

o Inability to concentrate;

o Loss of appetite;

o Indigestion;

o Sweating;

o Trembling and twitching due to nervous energy;

On the more serious side, worry can cause:

o Nausea

o Suppression of the immune system;

o Premature coronary artery disease

o Heart attack

o Depression and suicidal thoughts

Except for a few, I have experienced all these because I used to worry a lot. In more serious cases, I even thought of suicide.

The years have mellowed me down a little bit. Being old has its rewards. I still have worries (they never go away) but they are a lot less now than a few years ago.

Not only that. Now I can better deal with them by reciting a mantra I picked somewhere in the Internet.

It is:

“Sometimes the best thing you can do is not think, not worry, not imagine, and not obsess.

I say it when I wake up in the morning, when I go to bed at night and anytime in between when I sense worry is creeping up on me.

It works. It takes my mind off my worry and gives me hope that things will turn out for the best, which they always do.

Try it if you are a constant worrier.

But having a mantra is not doing you any good if you do not understand what worries you, and how to cope with it.

What is worry?

It is “to feel or show fear and concern because you think that something bad has happened or could happen.”

The keyword is “think.” Psychology, however, teachings that thoughts, emotions and perceptions are often tricks of a hyperactive mind. To avoid falling into a trap, do the following each time you are worried about something

1. Live for the day, not tomorrow or thereafter:

If you are worried about what tomorrow will bring, focus on the moment. Live your life to the fullest today.

St. Mathew said:

o Can any one of you by caring add a single hour to your life? – Matt: 6:27;

o Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own – Matt: 6:34.

2. Prepare, rather than worry:

Rather than kill yourself with worry, understand what it is you are worried about and its consequences should it happen.

Benjamin Desraeli said, “I am prepared for the worst, but hope for the best.”

Come up with different contingencies for every possible results of what you are worried about. Be sure you cover all the bases so that you are well prepared to handle it should it happen.

When it is done, keep your mind off it. Go out, talk a walk, watch a movie or treat yourself to a large ice cream.

3. Get into the offensive:

A few years ago, an associate told me that our HR Manager had a beef with me.

Anybody aspiring for a promotion knows how bad it is to get the ire of the Human Resource Manager.

When I reported to work the following day, the first thing I did was storm his office and asked him, point blank, why I bug him.

That put him on the defensive. He evaded my question with a lot of lies, burying himself in his own shit even deeper.

What I did, did not make him like me any better, but it made him realize that I know his sentiments about me and would treat my career aspirations very carefully.

So if you are worried about something or someone, get into the offensive and find out why. I bet you, you will come out with a large smile on your face at your audacity, and of knowing that your worry is baseless.

James Huang, 87, and one of the respondents of the survey, said:

“Why? I asked myself. What possible difference did it make that I kept my mind on every little thing that might go wrong. lesson is this: Turn yourself from frittering away the day worrying about what comes next and let everything else that you love and enjoy, and move on. “

To this day I could never recall any of my thousands worries happening. If some did, the consequences were not that great to make me lose some sleep.

Treat your worries the same way.

I had the privilege to be able to seriously study Carl Jung's method of dream interpretation and a big advantage because I was an excellent student. Being Fit Is Good For Business

What you do not know about me is that in addition to being a self-employed Solopreneur strategy and marketing consultant, I became a dedicated fitness enthusiast on my 21st birthday. On that day I realized that the clock was ticking and it would make sense to do whatever possible to preserve and protect my good health and strength.

On my 21st birthday, I ran one mile. I made myself drink eight glasses of water (a substance that I loved) and promised myself that I would drink at least that amount every day. I began to eat vegetables other than corn, spinach, or peas. Soon thereafter I became a vegetarian and followed the regimen for about 15 years, reintroducing meat to my diet only after peer-reviewed studies showed that red meat is a beneficial component of our diets, providing the best source of protein and facilitating the absorption of minerals .

I began to feel more healthy and strong. My energy level noticeably increased. My concentration and focus improved. Gradually, I became more self-aware and self-confident.

There are now thousands of studies that focus on wellness, extolling the benefits of regular exercise, a healthy diet, adequate sleep and supportive personal relationships. Over the past 20 years or so, psychologists and other social scientists have learned that regular exercise does much more than improve our physical beings. Exercise impacts the way we think. Statistically significant cognitive benefits of regular exercise include:

  • Improved concentration
  • Enhanced creativity
  • Faster learning
  • Sharper memory
  • Greater mental stamina
  • Lower stress

Early morning exercisers know that it takes a steely determination to pull oneself out of bed and head out to the gym on a dark and freezing winter morning, but the payoff is huge. Your workout will be completed before the events of the day have a chance to derail your schedule and you'll come to love the energy blast that early morning exercise gives you. What a feeling of accomplishment you'll have as you exit your fitness center just after 8:00 AM, washed and dressed and ready to take on the day! I do exactly that four mornings each week (and at 9:00 AM on Saturdays).

Regular exercise benefits everyone and may be especially rewarding for Entrepreneurs and Solopreneurs. For us, achieving and maintaining mental and physical stamina are a must. Researchers offer a few suggestions that will support those of you who are about to introduce fitness into your lives:

  • Find a physical activity that you like, because you will not continue otherwise.
  • Get a trainer and / or take fitness classes. Commit to learning how to work out in a way that maximizes the benefits and minimizes the risk of injury.
  • Get social. Talk to people and make friends at your gym.
  • Join a team if you like team sports. You will be qualified to practice (exercise) and play (more exercise).

I offer you two more suggestions, based on many years of gym membership:

  • Join a gym that is convenient to your home or office, to make it easy for you to get there.
  • Early morning is probably the most convenient time to exercise. Develop your early morning exercise routine in spring time, when mornings are brighter and waking up will be easier.
